Congratulations to all of our competitors this weekend! The 3rd annual Turkey Challenge was a huge success. Thank you to all of our incredibly gracious volunteers that made this event possible. I had so many people saying great things about the event, however you guys are the ones that get all the credit. Wow, what an amazing day! Workouts 1 and 2 are in the books. Tomorrow we will be taking on the "Buffet" with our Mens and Women's Open division starting at 8:45. Here is the timeline for tomorrow:

8:00- Judges meeting for ALL judges. We are going to need the full list of judges for WOD 3, so please show up for the meeting with Dan at 8.

Jeremy, You have scores for WOD 1, WOD 2A, and WOD 2B. Teams that have scores for those 3 events plus the floater will be scored ahead of you until your team does the floater.

I have a question about how the Turkey Challenge is being scored. My team has gotten 10th, 15th, and 18th place so far and are currently listed as being in 18th place overall. The only way I can see that being the case is if one workout is being weighted more than another. Are different workouts being given different weightings, or are they scored equally?

Here are the rosters with your heat #'s for Workouts 1-3. Write down and remember your heat #'s. Remember, you MUST check-in 10 minutes prior to your heat beginning. This will be extremely important because if you miss your heat, it is unlikely that you will be able to go in a later heat and you will get no score for that event.

Team Workout 1

Complete 3 stations for time:
Station 1 - 150 Ground to overhead 65#’s (Open)/75#’s (Rx)
Station 2 - 2000 meter row
Station 3 - 400 Killer rope


All four athletes will be allowed on platform to work in any order they desire (non-working member will be taking a knee). Only 3 athletes will work at a time. You may switch as many times as you would like. Workout is finished when all 3 stations have been completed and all four athletes have taken a knee.

Time limit: 10 minutes

REGISTRATION:

You'll need to check in at the gym prior to the event start and we have two options for you to do so:

-- Friday, November 16th between 4 pm and 7:30 pm
or
-- Saturday, November 17th between 6:15 am and 7:45 am

THERE WILL BE NO CHECK IN AFTER 7:45 AM ON SATURDAY, SO MAKE SURE TO GET IT DONE EVEN IF YOUR FIRST WOD STARTS LATER IN THE MORNING.

Holy cow! I couldn't have anticipated shutting down the website due to how many people were trying to register all at once.  Within 90 minutes, we had sold out almost every spot (all except women's Rx)! That is a testament to how awesome the Denver/CO CrossFit community is.

So, if you haven't put your name on the standby list, you are going to have to wait till till the 2014 Turkey Challenge. Better luck next year! :)

Registration will be open today, September 17th at 9am. If it is anything like last year, it will sell out quickly. Please pass the word to everyone in your gym. We have individual Rx and Open, along with Team Rx and Open. Division descriptions are on the Event Details page.

Back by popular demand – the 2012 MBS CrossFit Turkey Challenge! Mark your calendars, hit the gym, and train hard: on November 17-18th we are bringing it bigger and harder than last year.
